Western Carolina Lady Catamounts last second play SoCon Tournament

"The Play" was drawn up on the sidelines with 1.8 seconds remaining in the 1st OT period vs. College of Charleston in the Southern Conference Tournament. This "play" was attempted in 1997 in the same building in an SEC Tournament game between the University of Tennessee and Auburn. Pat Summitt borrowed from Dean Smith's playbook and drew this up for Kellie Jolly to take the charge. The referees did not call the foul for Tennessee. Kellie (now Harper), coach of the Western Carolina Lady Catamounts drew up this play and remembered Pat saying later that she should have told the refs what they were trying to do. Kellie did tell these refs. Smart girl!
