There are so many tutorials for production that annoy me. either an annoying voice, too slow, or not enough information. But I can safely say this tutorial is perfect. I will be sure to check out more of your videos. thanks a lot ;-)

@graveey Have you tried using the bottom section where you can see your file as audio?

Is it normal that when decreasing the tempo, even by a little bit, that when previewing the loop with 100% stretch, the gaps between the slices sound all choppy? My sample has continuous sound (so silence will be obvious) unlike the example here. If so, what's the best way to mitigate this (time stretch? what products?) Thanks.

@writofmandamus Hi, you shouldn’t have to stretch to 100%, usually 40% (default setting) is enough when slowing down the bpm by up to 10-15 bpm.
You also need to make sure that the preview options is ON.
Let us know how you get on.
Many thanks,
Anthony

@pointblankonline Thanks, but I found out Audacity was able to stretch it out very well (I remember the last time I tried using this feature the audio sounded all clippy). The 40% still gave me some gaps when I slowed it down about 13 bpm. I have another question though, is there a way to automatically map out the slice points (e.g. at every single beat .673 s apart)?

@writofmandamus I'm glad to hear that you figured out a solution to your problem. I hope that will be of service to you. In answer to your second question, I suggest that you look into taking one of our courses mate:) Can't be giving away all our secrets here.
Cheers
