That was great. How the Brits did a Super Bowl intro better than any I've seen here in the States dumbfounds me. I wish I could've seen the rest of it though.

as a niner fan, one of the happiest days of my life. This had to have been one of the most exciting super bowls i have ever seen.

Watched this as a 10 year old in Yorkshire. Great memories. Sickened the Bengals couldn't hold on I cried all night. I remember the Billy Joel snippets between breaks too. Good times. It was great to be a kid in the 80's!

I was about 16 too. I remeber this intro. Boy, we sure were spoilt by the sheer amazingness of sports production and preentation on Channel 4 in the 80's. they haven't rivalled the presentation of the 1988-89 season since. Really. Is the intro to the SB 23 kick off show online somewhere?? It starts with a blimp shot of the stadium while it does the credits and all. That music was classic in that intro.

As a 16 year old 49er fan at the time, apart from the game this is my abiding memory of that day..night. It got better we didn't see a presenter till two songs later.

It's too bad for the Bengals. They should have won that one. But what a great game it was. I wish they played like that today, now every game is a blow out.
