VIDEO DATE: APRIL 30th 2009
LOCATION: PAXTON PITS NATURE RESERVE
FILMED BY: PHIL
EDITED BY: PHIL
MUSIC BY: ROB ELLIOTT

CONTENTS: FIRST SIGHTINGS OF BABY GREYLAG GEESE POCHARD DUCK AND HIS MATE GREAT CRESTED GREBE THE NIGHTINGALE SONG PART 2

It was not the best of days to go out and about, as the rain has returned. However, this did not stop us going to one of my favorite locations, Little Paxton Pits Nature Reserve. I was lucky enough to be able to get some very nice video for my Video Diary, of which, some of the clips, I am sharing with you all in this video.

I hope that you enjoy seeing what I saw and filmed today, and maybe, be encouraged to go out there and see and listen to the wonders of nature. Remember, we need them, more than they need us.

Thank you to all my friends for your continued support and motivation. Without you guys, I would not be here, sharing the videos with you.

Thank you for taking the time to watch this video.

  • Me, too! Especially since I had a nest mishap a few weeks ago.

  • Aww....the tiny baby goose! So sweet. I think that we might have had a Grebe visit our campground a couple of years ago. It was fishing out near the little island in the manmade lake. Thankyou for the encore from the precious Nightingale. hugs, Chris

  • Excellent to see the baby goose! This time the nightingale was not camouflaged... Bravo!

  • Lovely video.. great to see the little geese swimming about.. How lucky to see the nightingale again.. Such sweet melody.. Its so nice to end the day by watching such soothing videos by you.. Thanks Phil for your lovely nature videos - Menu

  • My best wishes on regaining your golden hours... and I eagerly await your next video, as we all do! Take care and hope everything works out! S.

  • I loved how the little one was tearing through the water behind the Adult goose who was just cruising along as serene as you could be. The Pochard was amazingly lovely as was the face of the Cormorant, such amazing details in colors! But the Nightingale has me in it's spell. Such a wee fellow, so petite, so fragile looking, yet such a huge song! For some odd reason, I always pictured them in my mind as being akin to a Myna in appearance....go figure.

  • Well, I am sure you and your camera will find them when the time comes.... thanks for sharing your wonderful work! S.

  • Thank you Chris. I love the Grebes. They look so funny on land, with their legs right at the back of their bodies, they are clumsy, but in the water, they are at their best.

  • Nom you Rock lol I love reading your comments ;)
