This song and video was created out of anger and frustration, but still... HOPE.

COMPLETE LYRICS:
Dear senator look at this problem
I have some questions. I would like you to solve them
My parents last year voted for you
They told me you were the only one with a clue
And as we turned on the TV for your campaign speech
You said hope and change were right within reach
So donate, spread the word, if ya can, make a call
This is a democracy after all
Dear senator look at this problem
I got these questions and I want you to solve them
I took all this time to write you this letter
The least you could do is start to make things look better
Look, you're my elected, my vote, my voice, my liege
What about all those things you promised and preached?
This ain't a complaint about some slight dissatisfaction
I'm starting to get worried with all this inaction
Look, some people push for legalization
Some people complain about the economy and others deportation
If that's their battle, that's their cause, then that's their calling
But my cause is different and I've found you've been stalling
What's that spilling out of that pipeline?
Why since a child has the air my lungs breathed declined?
I took your tests, and I did my best, but my world got worse
Mr. President, I demand you handle this first
Dear senator look at this problem
Your people have questions and they want to solve them
You damn well know what's happening in the real world
The corruption and pollution; catastrophic conclusion
Dear senator, we're getting mighty scared
As the waves are rising higher we're not feeling prepared
Dear senator, drink this water
You sold my backyard for a parking garage
Dear senator this can't go much farther
My skyline's a poisonous industrious collage
Dear senator we voted for you
If our voice in the republic's silent, what can we do?
Hey senator, stand up and make the call
You're the voice for thepeople
This is a democracy after all
Dear citizen, Happy 4th of July!
Freedom, liberty, blah, blah, blah, hope you enjoyed your apple pie
I'm sorry you're so concerned and so young
It's a real shame, but don't worry your denial's just begun
We in Washington take this problem very seriously
But we prefer not to talk about things we can't help ya see?
So start up the grill, raise your flag, light up the sky
You're a middle class American at the top of the world
You got no reason to cry
Truth is, I regret to inform you
There's not that much I can even do
All the power's with these tall tower corporations
Welcome to solicitation nation
A nation of stagnation in the face of contemplation
With a flotation gas Station in the midst of a storm
Translation your generation's maturation navigation
Tribulation toleration is about to get worn down
Dear citizen, thank you so much for writing me
I hope this letter secures your vote in the second term election for me
I hope I did address all your questions
I hope you work hard in school and learn all your lessons
And if you sincerely sincerely want the destruction to stop
Write a letter to the businessmen and ask them to head your call
But if they say no, let them go, they have a right to exploitation
This is a democracy after all

You are very gifted--what a creative way of expressing your anger and frustration! I have signed petitions, called the White House comment line, emailed Obama and snail-mailed Obama. I hope you can find a way to send a copy of this to Obama.
