Quality vid lol. That's Martin's Clio on Jenvey throttle bodies, ran a 13.1 @ 109mph @ Santa Pod... so it's not shy and it's not turbo'd

If you've seen the clio, cool. If it goes like that with throttle bodies & beats even a non tub Z, then he's spent quite a bit on it. Tbs ain't cheap. 23rd-24th June, japfest @ Santapod.

The clio is probably from a bb tuning customer! They started off with R5 turbos then moved onto creating turbo kits for the clio 16Vs making them capable of 1/4 miles @ 13-14 seconds! Throttle Bodies suck and wouldn't give it such a kick like shown in the video. No worries about the loss though! A lightly tuned Z would ruin em ;)

glad you liked it,, this sunday is the next round of the zclubs drag race challenge so if i get some better footage i'll be posting up another video..

Is there any skill at driving an automatic in a drag race?

haven't really done much in the way of manual drag racing.. the auto will shift better than i could anyway... as far as times go mine aren't that great at the moment. the 300 is a stock na auto so i doubt she'll break a 14. at the moment my best is a 15.4 but for a 2ton gt car thats pretty good. still its your reaction time that really counts and i average a .2 which is pretty good. all our times are also available on zclub dot net s drag challenge page.
