Welcome to Belly Dance Arms & Posture, a practice for carriage, coiling and serpentine stylization. This practice was designed to be used in conjunction with your regular dance practice to increase strength, flexibility and the illusion of bonelessness in the upper body. The practice has 5 parts: Gentle stretching to relax and prepare the body for movement, Dance movement preparation to strengthen the legs, An intense shoulder series with both strengthening and stretching segments to prepare for serpentine arm movements, A short combination to illustrate the use of arms in dance and with torso movement and layering, Finishing poses to relax the spine and prepare you to re-enter your day. 74 minutes total.

  • I have this DVD and it is a GREAT shoulder workout. I agree with a lot of you that it isn't easy to follow or understand... especially for beginners!

  • Beautiful BUT.. Not easy to learn off of her video

  • grr i want a good dvd for beginners any one have any pointers im not she she aint good cuz she clearly is but im looking for beginner

  • it is much easier when you just listen and have a large mirror infromt of you and just redo it redo it untill you feel comfortable its an amazing work out and youll see the difference in your shoulders they arnt as stiff or at least mine arnt it makes the rest f my body just follow along one fluid movment from top to bottom :)

  • I want to be like her when I grow up :)

  • @mkayimago Nau-Ashta, by Beats Antique. GREAT song =)

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS SONG?!?!?! I'VE HEARD IT ALL OVER THE PLACE AND STILL HAVE NO CLUE!

  • @elymnias, I agree. They give you more ideas and help with drills. But only after classes since thats how you'll get that dynamic feel of the dance that DVDs won't ever give you.

  • The ideal in any case would be to register for one semester with an actual teacher, learn basics and afterwards order DVDs to work on your technique...perhaps a little more expensive with the classes but definitely more worth it

  • 名人芸
