Rep. Walsh is so freaking cool. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life (minus 3 months in Sacramento), and Walla Walla is in a more conservative area than Seattle. So when I heard her speech live, I was in tears and cheered for her bucking the trend and voting for equality.

Yes, I can, that is the definition of what an animal is... which basically all things except plants, are animals... even insects, however, not all insects are bugs. Only insects of the order Hemiptera are considered true bugs.

The definition of what things are, are derived from characteristics, etc... for example, an alligator is not a mammal, like humans, because it doesn't meet the criteria of a mammalian, so it's in the reptilian category.

Well, to me an animal is an animal, which are a major group of multicellular, eukaryotic organisms of the kingdom Animalia or Metazoa. Their body plan eventually becomes fixed as they develop, although some undergo a process of metamorphosis later on in their life. Most animals are motile, meaning they can move spontaneously and independently. All animals are also heterotrophs, meaning they must ingest other organisms or their products for sustenance.

well "animal" can be defined as either a living organism that feed on organic matter, or a living organism other than a human being. and im obviously using the latter definition.
