  • The thing is, I should not be ashamed at all because if it was up to me, we would have sang it the correct way. Instead of you attacking me, maybe you should take it to the world. Because having to change the words of such a fabulous song only came about after the world became so anti-religious and politically correct. The only reason the words were changed was because of the principal of our school insisting upon it because the school is public- not private. that is what the world has come to.

  • And, the fact that the words had to be changed should, in no way, take away from the beautiful performance. These boys are phenomenal singers. And no lack of words will take away from that. They all sang the right words in their hearts. Maybe you should just rejoice in the fact that you know and love the correct words instead of attacking others.

  • This has to be one of the best videos of this song posted. I had listened to all just to realize how good these young men are. Their intonation, clarity of words and feelings transmitted in this performance deliver the message of the song. I wish you could stay as a quartet, for this past 2 years had been great. I know Capu and Tom will do some barbershop singing while at FSU. Any one out there has a video of them singing the Duke of Earl?

  • I know! Aren't they wonderful?! I actually do have a video of them doing Duke of Earl. I will post a link to my facebook and its on there. if you cant get it on there, i will try to get it up on youtube!

  • i just posted the video of Duke of Earl. Enjoy!

  • I agree that the words should not be changed. its ridiculous that the public schools have become what they are. take God out of schools and they will only get worse. this reminds me of the valedictorian whose mic was shut off when she tried to share her testimony with her class at her graduation. Is it not discrimination to Christians to not let them talk about what they believe in? It goes both ways...the "politically correct" school system contradicts itself.

  • @sonshine446 I'm singing this song come this this winter and my school isn't a private one and we are singing it the "correct" way. So i don't see why yours had to.

  • Great job. I miss the Jesus part, but then I thought how many people would bash this if it did include that? MANY more would. They did superbly, and the fact that it could have been a prayer straight to God, Jesus, Allah, or whatever religion that the children would be praying from somehow makes it stronger throughout the world, instead of just to Christians. Either way, they did spectacularly. :) Stop acting like jerks and pray humbly, you 'Christians'. Jesus loves all. <3

  • Personally, I find the song much more powerful without the "god" part in it. It sounds more desperate and pleading.

  • I cannot believe how beautiful this is!! I have heard this song before and loved it every time, but this was absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for posting, I LOVE it!!

  • Cry out to the Lord no matter what anyone say,s.Amen!

  • i dont even believe in god at all..and i dont have a problem with singing about praising god haha...maybe its cuz i wasnt raised to not blieve in god..idk..but some people who dont blieve in god..hatee it when when people who look dwon to then..so i see no sense in looking down to someone who does..its there choice not really my problem haha

  • It's angry guns, not God.
