When Divine Performing Arts put on two performances at the theatre of the local State University of New York, Purchase College, there were many New Yorkers in the audience who were influential and active in, or just highly appreciative of the performing arts.

Among them was well-known conductor, educator, and clarinetist David Dworkin, who's currently the Director of the Vermont Youth Symphony. He's also conducted the New Jersey, Vermont, and Manhattan Symphony Orchestras, as well as the 'Philharmonic on the Hudson'.

He gave high praise to the show, with its unique and popular blend of Western and Eastern musical traditions.

[David Dworkin, Sympony Conductor]
Excellent world class, absolutely. And believe me Ive performed with the top conductors in the world so Im not just saying this, its affected me inside.

Well everything from the music and the technique of the conductor, to the sets, the imagery, the costumes are spectacular and the choreography. The strength of the dance and the drumming, my goodness, thats a very very wonderful thing for anyone to experience.

Among the others praising the show were New York University professors and figures from the world of journalism.

[Dr. Howard Newberger, New York University Professor]
The message did not escape the audience, very well planned, marvelous! What a delight to see China coming back on the stage again.

[Joyce Corrigan, Magazine Editor]
I give this performance an A+. The orchestra is wonderful and its fun being up close and personal and just hearing the Chinese sounds which is so beautiful, and of course everybodys in tuxedos, its a nice contrast.

Divine Performing Arts will now move on to New York City's Radio City Music Hall this weekend, for four even grander-scaled performances on the very eve of the Chinese New Year. These Manhattan shows will see even more New Yorkers from the world of the arts, academia, and all other walks of life celebrating the new Year of the Ox with Divine Performing Arts.
