I wanted to do a longer view of the character that I am in the Great Lord of the Rings Family, especially now that I found a great character to portrait her.

**FÍRIEL**

Queen of Arthedain in the North-kingdom of Arnor.
She was the daughter of King Ondoherof Gondor.
She was born in 1896 and had two brothers, Artamir and Faramir. She was the youngest of Children.

Fíriel is a Quenya name meaning "mortal woman" from the word fir meaning "die, fade."

**STORY IN THE VIDEO**

++TA 1908++

Fíriel with her parents and two brothers.

++TA 1940++

King Ondoher formes an alliance with King Araphant of Arthedain - the only remaining Kingdom in Arnor.
Firiel marries Araphant's heir Arvedui and moves to the North-kingdom.

++TA 1942++

Firiel and Arvedui have a son who is named Aranarth.
(artistical view since there's no information about Aranarth's birth date)

++TA 1944++

Firiel's father and brothers are killed in battle against the Wainriders, a hostile race of Men from the East.
There is no surviving male heir to the throne of Gondor.
Arvedui makes a claim to the throne of Gondor based in part on his marriage to Firiel.
He argues that women were able to inherit the throne in Numenor, where the ancestors of the Dunedain of Gondor and Arnor originate.
He also argues that he himself is a descendant of Elendil, the first High King of Gondor and Arnor, through the line of Isildur.

But the Council of Gondor rejects Arvedui's claim. They reply that in Gondor the kingship passes through the male line only, and through the line of Elendil's son Anarion, not Isildur.
Earnil II, a captain of the Royal House, becomes the King of Gondor instead.

++TA 1974++

Fíriel is riding with her 2 sons (she and Arvedui had at least 2 sons).

Arthedain is conquered by the Witch-king of Angmar.
Arvedui fleeds north and is drowned in a shipwreck on the Icebay of Forochel.
His children escape west to Lindon, where a number of Elves live.

++LATER++

Aranarth takes the title of Chieftain of the Dunedain of the North.
Through his mother Firiel, he and his descendants had the blood of the Kings of Gondor as well as of Arnor.

The last Chieftain of the Dunedain is Aragorn who became King of the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor.

It is not known whether Firiel went with her sons to west or what became of her afterwards.

  • Who is she? Daughter of Elessar and Arwien?

  • @Peristerygr

    She's daughter of King Ondoher, king of Gondor. She is the mother of all the chieftains of dunédain, since she gave birth to the first one. She and her husband united Gondor and Arnor, and that way Aragorn is ruler of both. :)

  • This was very well done. I really liked your character choices! I love it when people make videos about middle-earth characters that arn't from the time of the War of the Ring. I hope you make more videos like this about other characters!

  • @seandeaon

    Thank you. :)

    I try to do these more. ^^

  • @Peristerygr it is a silly question since the video already has a good description of the story written.

    Also, if you have watched the video, you would know that this is well before Aragorn's time.

    PS: I'm 26

  • Earnil becomes Steward, not King. The crown of Gondor can only pass to a descendant of Anarion and Isildur, the next man to be a descendant of both will be Aragorn Arathornion. but that is many years in the future at this point.

  • @mushu144 Not silly at all! According to the story Elessar and Arwien had a daughter! Unless you just are one more 15 years old coward who likes to taunt people anonimusly on the internet!

  • @Peristerygr silly question.

  • This is very beautiful. Well done.

  • @FirielOfArnor Thanks

  • I thing this is a screen from "Mysts of Avalon" !

  • Well it's fake but I'll give you credit
