The news piece has already run, and that was the only real purpose of the demo.
The Express-News Newspaper has plenty of Medeco locks, ALL of what I can easily defeat in front of the camera.
I also showed how the electronic access control, a wiegand device, can be easily defeated.
Again, this was done ONLY for the media exposure, task completed.

@TxAgg10 in the older Deadbolts they did before Marc informed them of the problem, Then Medeco started to redesign it and put them out without even having a recall of all the older models.

@Arabhacks Please come on down the Fuller's Alamo Safe and Lock again, we would love to see you do this. Medeco does not have a free spinning tail piece on their deadbolt....
-
@KitCloudkickerUK: Medeco Deadbolts do not have free spinning tail pieces their for you can not do this with a screw driver.
-
Strictly out of curiosity, how do you get to the tail piece? Is the flaw in the key way after it is widened, exposing the tail piece? I am a learning locksmith and I love the debates around these subjects. I am always trying to learn...
-
@Katzlerlocks Sigh, no time for total tards that do not want to learn.

Dropinggates gets the kewpie doll!
Yes, the tailpiece is moved, and it is not just Medeco that has this flaw.
I mentioned this to the guy at Fullers lock & key in San Antonio who simply walked away.
In front of over a dozen reporters I did this very stunt, not explaining exactly how of course, and had a lot of fun.
Yes, they had me do other locks, had a lot of fun!
Sometimes you can pass through the one tailpiece and work the other, or the lock itself.
Between this and bumping I can pop 99%

@krayyy And you’re the one who opened the eyes of the engineers at Medeco. That is why you’re sitting in your little room and making you tube videos. What amazes me the most is how many of you don’t even know simple things like rim-cylinders have no cams but a tail piece. One end of d tail piece is flat preventing even the tiniest object to be put thru the keyway. How come we did not see what kind of screwdriver was inserted? How come Idon’t ever meet experts like you on the job?

@dropingatesThe lazy-cam has nothing to do with the thumb-turn! Without it you would not be able to pull the key out after locking the door unless you unlock the door again. The lazy cam action permits the key to be turned back to 12’clock position thus you can retract the key and the door stays locked.Even if you put a screw driver into the key way how can you possible turn the tail piece? It is like saying that you can turn a screw with a flat headscrewdriver that has no slot on its head.

@chuckthelocksmith Oh yeah and you’re a true locksmith with your potty mouth. What have you been doing in the past 33 years? Are you one of those true locksmiths that belong to the drill& destroy bunch? You a true locksmith didn’t even notice that he was making factually incorrect statements? Rim cylinders have no cams they have a tail piece and even that, how would you see the cam or tail piece moving, it is inside of the lock. You know now days video editing is pretty high tech.
the screw driver slides through the plug and out the back and he operates the mechanical tailpiece. this is possible because the tailpiece is lazy, that means it can turn on it's own without the plug spinning. The reason for this is the thumb turn on the inside of the door needs to be able to operate the locking bolt using the same tailpiece. So when the thumb-turn on the inside of the turn turns, the plug on the outside doesn't. Does that make sense to all the people saying this is fake?

Actually there is a flaw with this cylinder that involves widening the cylinder keyway just a slight amount and inserting a....oops...Sorry can't tell you but lets just leave it at it can be done, There isn't someone on the other side and no-one emptied the pins out, Take another look, The cylinder cam doesn't even turn, Marc Tobias discovered the flaw and informed medeco and they didn't want to know about it, Marc also picked and bumped the "impossible" M3 and still medeco didn't want to know.
