From the podcast, "Right After Wrestling," former ECW Heavyweight Champion Tazz speaks on some of the recent incarnations of ECW. It is clear that he was not thrilled about the Hardcore Justice pay-per-view evidenced by the fact that he took such a small role in PPV. He has a great point about just letting ECW die so that they it rest in peace.

  • @Nickman32 I believe that WWE owns pretty much all of ECW's tape library. You could always do their on-demand service if you don't mind paying. But if the original ECW is something you're really passionate about, I'd say it would be worth the money.

  • "I dont see anyone trying to redo WCW" well Taz... TNA is doing a good enough job without trying.

  • @RKOyouALL

WWE tried to Recreate ECW for the 1st and 2nd One Night Stand. After that, ECW was just another WWE brand. It had nothing in common with the show from the 90s.

  • As John Cena said, Taz is "just another dude who came up short from Red Hook."

  • i dont mind the one night stand ppvs but they should have never done ecw show on wwe

  • @steiner8burgerston Im talking pre attitude with the cruiserweights, And no the n.W.o killing the WWF storyline took place before the draft

  • @dgenerate707 umm like i said before in my last comment re-read it and also the draft took place which left Hogan to Smackdown!, nWo on RAW was set to feud with Undertaker, while gathering more members.. yea, y2j,radicalz,austin,etc jumped ship, cuz their undercard matches weren't appreciated, Jericho talks about it in Eddie's dvd

  • @steiner8burgerston Wasn't n.W.o supposed to work with Vince to kill WWF? Didn't they jump Austin and The Rock yet no one else on the Roster came to help them out, makes perfect sense. Why would they come to WWF when they seen a monumental feud get turned into the 4th Mcmahon Saga. Once again both started off awesome but got ruined. If quality matches don't mean shit then WCW would've never had great undercard matches.

  • @dgenerate707 how did WWE screw up the nWo? fans refused to boo Hogan, Hall was a drunk, Nash was always injury prone, Not WWE's fault, inVasion? the top stars in WCW would have rather sit n wait for their contracts to expire rather than work, still same pay, Not wwe's fault, try again..how many more seats did RVD/lynn and EDDIE/DEAN bring?sure if ECW was about wrestling , I'm sure they'd be the reason why ECW grew, but it didnt, QUALITY MATCHES MEAN SHIT, sad but rue, Attitude Era best example

  • @steiner8burgerston Sure she didn't not once did I see and awesome match on par with Jerry Lynn vs RVD or Eddie vs. Dean. Contrary to the WWE rewritten history the ECW that existed between (1992 - 2001) wasn't just meaningless violence, they had awesome storylines and great concepts hat also helped WWF and WCW. WWE had a winning formula when they first brought it back but just like the Invasion and the n.W.o storyline they screwed it up.
