The answer to your second question:
Astrophysicists believe that black holes do "die" eventually through an "evaporative" process. What happens is that sometimes particles (mostly electrons) are able to leave the black hole through spontaneous creation of electron-antielectron, This was discovered by Stephen Hawking and so was called Hawking Radiation.
