@memfisman The full-length version of "Something Inside Me" is on the Elmore James 1966 LP, "I Need You", on Sphere Sounds Records. Fire Records eventually released a full-length version of "Something Inside Me" on a 45 RPM record in 1972.

@gkallenbach Absolutely true. The original version is longer and significantly better.

It's too bad this version has an arbitrary completely unnecessary edit during the intro. If you listen to the original, it's really obvious, and sort of painful to hear on this one. Maybe the full version is here somewhere - I'm gonna see if I can find it.
-
@wesrace It starts: "there's somthin inside Mmmm etc" ..a statement cut short to show the degree of emotional involvement. (EJ's Genius). Listen to it again....

Elmore was one of favorite even when I was a teenager, born in 1941.

I'm going to make blues, that what nowadays need
It's always amazing if you realize that a lot of the "Fleetwood Mac" songs are old blues classics!

@tubegucker1 - You saw that quite a lot back then. The Allman Bros. covered some Elmore James songs.
