1972 C3 Paint refinishing services

I mention in the video that this is a 68 but infact, its a 72.

This is my asawa's C3 but I guess its mine now since I'm married to her.

Anyway our house has been abandoned for the past fifteen years and this Vett has sat outside uncovered the whole time so you can only imagine the task thats ahead of me.

Infact, I mention that just that half of the door took me an hour to do but then when I was actually done, it was more like two hours or so.

In other words, I am looking at a MINIMUM of four to five hours if not more on just that door alone.

(WOW) thats a lot of work.

Why does this take so long one might being asking ???

Well to start out with, we washed the area to be worked on followed by clay barring the area.

Next, we wet sanded the area down with 1200 followed with 2000.

Next, we compounded out the area using a polishing compound. I like to cut with a wool pad over a foam pad after I have wet sanded.

Next, we polished out the area using a polish that contains machine brightners. This really enhances the paint more over traditional polishes.

Next, and the final stage is the waxing stage or your paint protection application.

This seals everything in and protects your paint.

The reason this took so long is that this Vett has sat outside for the past fifteen years.

I'm just glad it's not going to take me fifteen years to refinish the paint. (Wheeeew)
