I used to watch them on the Lawrence Welk Show. I had a set of paper dolls of them. Wish I still had that set now. I used to love watching them and also the Lennon Sisiters.

Baby boomer here too...just heard of the McGuire sister's. But i think they only sang together and ended up on on Dean Martin for their finale. Great harmony!

what year?

The ladies' first release on Coral (60917) early '53. Billed as "THE THREE MCGUIRE SISTERS", the flip was "ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR". The rarer 45 is in my collection. I have never seen this released as a track in any cd compilation. It was released as one of four cuts in their first 45 7 in. EP. I do agree, the "best trio that ever performed".

The best album in my opinion was the one they made for kids called "Holiday" I'm 65 and my sibs and I still sing each song (and know all the words) to every tune! There was one for every holiday - a real classic! If it's still available they should bring it out for kids today.....better than Marlo Thomas's Free to Be Me

Godfrey was such a pompus dweeb relic - never have cared much for his , delayed lack of charm or lathargic casual lack of style , a matter of fact radio romeo to the 50's house wives , the sort of guy who you probably would "forget" to invite to your Saturday back yard BBQue , a nose breather

This originally aired in 1953.
