now why would somebody want to do that....?

im not surprised at all. big deal. harley used to be top of the line for racing everywhere. all he need is an oil cooler, taller shocks, and some knobbies. up hill racers are mostly harleys, with paddle tires. world record for the 1/4 mile- harley,,, out in bonniville- harley. evil kneville rode a harley. most ice racers are 750 harleys. i can go on and on. iv seen dressers with 100,000 miles. jap bikes aint got nothing, NOTHING on harley

i' m pretty sure, that a ww2 WLA could do it...it' s lightweight in comparission to this beast i think...and...it was made to survive more that 60 years....it passed trough the time test, wartime test...use and abuse....it could do it now too xD

In that clip, I wouldn't exactly say he "rode" the bike. Paddling along slipping the clutch while your riding buddies pull/push you through a section isn't really riding. I'm surprised the clutch could take that abuse.

Harley is part Jap components now.

Obviously a Harley is capable of this they have so much low down torque. Slow and powerful, it's no coincidence that they're nick-named tractors! Shame he didn't think of sticking some off road tyres on it and then he wouldn't have needed the two guys pulling and pushing!!! lol

If you have to be pulled/ pushed the whole way...whats the point?
-
WTF!?
-
Guess he found out a way to show off where no one has shown off before.
-
LOL

He wanted to go offroading with they boys, but all he had was his harley. :-p

@ADVRider990 I wish someone would make a decent DS conversion for the Sportster. I am not impressed with the Uly...need something less sportbike-ish and more like the KLR or DR
We could'nt believe it either.
This video dosn't come close to giving the true dificulty and scale of this canyon.
This canyon is only just a small part of 100 plus mile back country two track trail with no services that 4x4 use.
We were plenty challenged on our dirt bikes.
This Harley rider with the help of two Canadians that rode KLRs with fuel and muscle rode the whole thing.
We all thought that he would have to be hauled out by truck.
