This is me and my wife's song. It touchs me every time I hear it because I am so in love with this woman that God gave me. I feel that I am a lucky man. Loggins and Messina really put passion in their music and I thank them for this one.

@kita2porgeecjm I agree with you, but then I am a boomer. If I may add to your list of what it takes: talent, gifts you are willing give, musicianship, and more talent. Ambition can only help things along. Working and working and working is just the gig. But take heart. We are here and so are they. Those who have gone left their music. Pass it on.

@MsKath1eena Ahhhh, another damn note to self. This one always makes me cry. Note to the GaGa generation. Only the packaging changes. What you are, see, feel may or may not get any wiser. But it gets deeper, like the roots of tree that this song tells us love has been feeling in the land.

Kenny Loggins and Jimmy Messina were not a hit singles collaboration. They are two brilliant musicians. Their live performances are regarded by other musicians as the best there is. And they are still all that. I hope to see them live again. I played their LPs into doilies. (So I bought unopened LPs.) Gentlemen, you have a world of admirers, some of whom have never found the faith in a world of site bytes. C'mon. A little tour. Please?

@skharlow Where is the quality had gone? IT GOT RAPPED, SOLD TO KIDS THAT ARE NOW, SORRY TO SAY....A DUMBER GENERATION. THEY'LL BUY ANYTHING. LADY GAGA? MADONNA/EVIL? Quality of harmony, lyrics, melody, arrangement, takes dedication and pride.
