AT&T 3G vs Verizon Mifi

Wow. To me this is the fairest comparison because it is the same network for both phones. But I feel like that Verizon has a disadvantage because it is going through Wi-Fi.

AT&T may be faster in the speed tests, but if you don't have 3G because of crappy service, does it matter? I'd like to see a speed test where AT&T has Edge and Verizon more than likely has 3G in the same place.

@leom760442 I have to say, what good is the 4g service gonna be when AT&T doesn't even provide 3g service to those of us in rural locations and the vast majority of small cities? As for the speed differences, I guess it depends on where you're located. AT&T does indeed have faster 3g but it's not that much faster as they try to make it out unless you're living right next to a cell tower. And where Verizon's 3g is that AT&T's isn't, VZW 3G is 50x better than AT&T's EDGE network.

AT&T Inc. on Wednesday said it's on track to launch its own 4G network this summer. Also, it said it will start calling its current 3G network "4G," since it's been upgraded to be capable of nearly 4G speeds.
