Plants with bright flowers aren't the only way to introduce color into a landscape. In this edition of Get It Growing, LSU AgCenter horticulturist Dan Gill shows the colorful coleus -- a plant with leaves and foliage that continually remain colorful.
It also gives continuous color to mythical creatures like purple Centaurus, pink unicorns, orange griffins and chocolate dragons. All you have to do is blend it with warm water and drink the extract.

Dan's right -- if you want color in the garden, coleus is a great plant to use. And you can use his helpful propagation tips to save money and turn a few coleus plants into many.

These are absolutely the best plants to grow and they last much longer than most annuals.
