Hmm... we shall see.
Which competition were you in this year? How'd you do compared to the other robots?
-
No there is no Internationals this year it was last year i was there at nationals, mostly quebec people went on to internationals. there was no international robotics eithere. there hasnt been for the past two internationals. Theres not enough perticapants.

Anyone who has facebook search for "Skills Canada Robotics" and join the group. This way we can get a bunch of the teams on there for some good discussion.
-
Nope... our advisors said there is a internationals this year. It's just we won't be competing the same way.
-
This isnt a Sending year. Next year is a sending year

The top three teams in Ontario were all 2 ball designs. Does anyone know how many one ball designs, if any, made it to nationals?
-
Does anyone know how much BC has been scoring? What is the top score for all of Canada so far?
-
Theres skills world this year actually. I just won Ontario provincials =D
BUT the international competition... is whack. Its not anything like what we just win in canada, you get parts for a premade robot, and you have to build it within a certain time frame (then race it? I think?) its weird.

Man Skills Manitoba was a tough competition too bad that a crapy reciever battery took out my robot in the gold metal round. Oh well think about it this way next year will be the year to win because theres a chance to go to skills World. See ya all in the ring next year.
is that a drill motor sending uot the soccer balls

Good eye! It's a cheap 18V Jobmate drill motor ($29) that's been working great for the past 3 years on three different robots. It's the cheapest way we've found to get a reliable high RPM and high torque motor. A Dewalt would be nice, but they're very pricey! We do have a spare Jobmate just in case old reliable fails!

teams in Toronto got an average of 20 points per round for regionals. I am expecting that the top teams will score an average of 30 points per round at provincials in may.

That's pretty impressive! Are most teams shooting two balls at a time or just one?

What was your top score in a round? Did you win the regionals?

Top score in round was 10 and we did win the gold medal at the provincials. We have some improvements planned that we hope will increase our score at the nationals.
