why Gecko eat each other?!!!

this is what i saw in my room last night!!
and now I still asking myself...why Gecko eat each other?!!!

To all the people saying he shouldn't have 'put' the baby with the adult have obviously not paid attention to the backround. Those geckos are ON A WALL as in NOT IN A CAGE as in WILD ANIMALS. Geckos are very common household animals in Hawaii and for that matter that smaller gecko isn't a baby at all but an entirely different species of gecko than the larger one. The larger appears to be a four-clawed gecko while the smaller looks something like a mourning gecko.

all reptiles will do this in an act of preservation or to dominate the tank. simpley do not mix small with large its a preditor species....
