A mix of Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge's Cloud Castle theme, "Praying Hands", done by me. Synthesized in NWC, recorded with various soundfonts. There seriously isn't enough Castlevania music out there.

  • I definitely feel you on MIDI and OCRemix. That's why none, absolutely none, of my tunes are in that site; mine all start out as MIDI.

This is Jorge D. Fuentes, by the way. I'm working on an arrangement of this very tune and was searching youtube for the original (as well as listening to it via Meridian Advance). Great tune.

And great arrangement of yours, as well. I, too, use Noteworthy Composer for my tunes.

  • Ah, nice to hear from you. I think yours and Tony Thai's works were what got me started on MIDI, great stuff.

NWC is great. I should probably see about actually getting off my ass and actually buying an updated version. If indeed they've updated it since 2004.

  • its plant castle music i think

  • Cloud Castle.

  • Love your remixes. I like how you pick my favorite games.

  • love it .

  • Wow, great take of this song.

    Incredible, good job!

  • my top 3 castlevania games:

1: simphony of the night (psx)

    2: supercatlevania 4 (snes)

    3: belmont revenge (game boy)

  • I like this a lot. It has an early Capcom-esque feel to it. Great work.

  • You are a god

  • pretty good! this should be used in the Harmony of Despair soundtrack :P

  • @silentzorah you were right

The update to NWC is actually free if you have the old version. I started to use "Noteworthy Composer 2". There's very little difference in terms of MIDI composition. There's some extra options for adding instrument patches, for example if you wanted to use other banks... but it handles pretty much the same.

Oh, I added my version of this tune to my youtube. :D

  • @Erghest I'm not really complaining about it. I'm just noting that midi work like my own just doesn't fit in. This was evident with the Metroid OCR mix "Hemorrhoid", which was actually just a midi from VGMusic run through a synth. You could tell it was midi, and you could tell transitions were not nearly as elaborate.

Personally, I'm not one for OCR mixes anymore. I haven't been for some time. It's just not interesting to me anymore.
