I love this concept but I dont like the very fast parts. I think mixing them with the pace of the song feels weird. I love the wedding with the song. I love that resounding almost physical pain of regret. Lovely <3
it's the regrets, the misgivings, the shame, the oh I wish, so much of which any decent wedding, wake or weekend (or more pertinently mid week) hangover can provide.
wrong song for the video. wrong video for the song. you had a great explanation for the video and your idea behind it, but i completely agree with @Fugitive0 . This didn't work out well at all :S
@Fugitive0 Unfortunately, people can have their own interpretation of a piece of art. Apparently what you and I see in the song and the video I shot are two conflicting opinions about the piece which is more than fine. Nonetheless, I am more than happy that you took the time to watch the video.
@zacheser That still doesn't make any sense in relation to the mood and lyrical content of the song. There are plenty of "meaninful" songs that can represent grasping the moment far better than Shiva. In fact, Shiva doesn't represent anything you said in the slightest.
You apparently missed the implied message of the director. Considering that I hold that title, allow me to explain my intent.
I look at something like a wedding as a moment in time - one that will be remembered by those there - for as long as they live. As far as I'm concerned, it's a fragment stuck in time as we continue to grow older. The images are supposed to represent life moving on as this night continues on in the past.
I love the antlers and this song, but I'm not a huge fan of the video.

You should have made most of the dancing slower, that would have made this look much nicer in my opinion

I think the commenters who dislike the matchup of the song to the video just aren't old enough to have the kinds of regrets that make this work.
