Part 2: Going Global.

By the late 1970s, the Sicilian mafia was smuggling millions of dollars worth of heroin into the US every year.

They had a unique method of distribution via Sicilian-owned pizzerias across the United States.

The racket became known as the Pizza Connection. The vast profits to be made from heroin led to savage violence as competing mafia dons and families sought a bigger piece of the pie. In the US, it led to the assassination of a greedy godfather in broad daylight. In Sicily, a murderous clan known as the Corleonesi - from the town of Corleone, which gave its name to Marlon Brando's character in 'The Godfather' - blasted their way to the top of the mafia.

Ultimately, a battle would rage on the streets of the US between a new breed of ruthless mafioso and a new kind of policeman, prepared to risk everything to infiltrate the mafia. With the help of FBI agents like Joe Pistone (aka Donnie Brasco) and Carmine Russo the Mafia's drug enterprise would be exposed and eventually dismantled.

@XIronChancellorX  if the generals had the will to stand up to hitler i think germany probably would have won. hitler defenitely had skills in terms of unifying the people but he certainaly was not a good military tactician.

@TPKKPT ...challenged the UK's power, we stood against the world in two world wars and had a chance to win (very slim one in WW2 after the US joined but we still lasted 3 years), we had the strongest armies the earth has ever seen (sadly, shadowed by the satanic Hitler and his evil Holocaust), and now Germany is the 13th strongest military, haunted by the Nazi regime (even though Germans had little to do with the Holocaust. The Nazis did it no Germans), and the 5th largest economy. Sad.

We destroyed Rome, Charlemagne brought us out of the Dark Ages, German states were victorious numerous times, only after a few years of unification we already...

@TPKKPT No, I can not speak German. I am not rich (to afford Rosetta Stone) and my school does not provide the German language to learn. In addition, a monarchy is one of the best forms of governments. Germany has been a monarchy for much longer than a democracy. Anyway look how pathetic Germany is. It is nothing compared to how it use to be. Its economy is the only thing to be proud of, 5th largest. Otherwise, Germany's influence and military are pathetic pile of shit.
