Preaching at Illinois State University in 2008

Bro Jed, Sister Pat and myself preached at Illinois State University in Normal, IL on August 18th. This was the first day of school for many campuses around the country. Many of our preaching co-workers are spread across the USA campuses this week/month for the start of a new school season.

when people ask me "what religon are you?" i say that "im not religous and i dont like religion cause nowadays its become to organized. although what i am is a christian and a follower of christ."

"the siners, the stundents" thats no way to treat people or to address people.

everybody sins. even you do and its not your job 2 call people out on it. what is your job as a christian is 2 show the love that jesus has for us by first showing love through you 2 others. thats what jesus would want

dont you think that spreading the "LOVE" of christ is more important than telling ppl that they "SIN" and "NEED TO REBUKE"? im a christian myself and i feel its important 2 spread the love of christ. but its also impotant 2 respect ppls boundaries. i feel like if you asked ppl if they needed prayer for anything that would show the love of christ through you. instead of just trying 2 preach the word which alot of times ppl dont want 2 hear

These people drive me nuts. Learn better ways to share your faith - no one appreciates this on their daily walk to class. It's offensive and doesn't teach love - it teaches people about free speech and how obnoxious you can be. Horrible
