  • You're right about that. The other thing is the flow rate of the water through the filter. If it's going too fast or in too much volume, it might not work very well. Try slowing down the flow rate and that might help.

  • UV isn't a bad solution for green water...problem is string algae and other types won't be affected. Also you'd be surprised at how many people contact us that us UV and still have algae issues of all kinds. I"m all for UV when it works though.

  • i have a string algae problem...please help!!

  • If they still have green water after hooking up a UV, then they didn't get the right UV or it wasn't hooked up correctly.

  • Just hook up a UV light.
