This is a demo of an unofficial UPnP/AV 1.0 Compliant Media Server which lets you browse current iPlayer programmes on any DLNA 1.5 compliant Media Controller. If the Beeb wouldn't keep fiddling with the Quicktime streams, it would also let you play them on any media controller that supports H.264/MPEG4-AVC in an ISO MPEG4 container (the server remuxes the data from the Quicktime container to MPEG4 on the fly).

  • Perhaps I should have been clearer, ps3iplayer just lets you watch iplayer on your PS3, what is shown here is much more comprehensive. And all us PS3 owners WANT it!! :0)

  • Nope, it still doesn't get the above service - as shown in the video - on my PS3.

  • ps3iplayer is unofficial but works pretty well on my ps3, just add the dots and w's ;0)
