Two big items today: The senate acted on funding items for the constitutional amendment for clean water, outdoors and cultural heritage - a reflection of the vision Minnesota voters displayed when the amendment passed overwhelmingly last year.

The legislature is also acting today on a revenue agreement between the two bodies to replace the ill-advised borrowing plan proposed by Governor Tim Pawlenty. Funds will be dedicated to ease cuts to education, hospitals and nursing homes.
