nothing better than an old USK

That's one historic device.

there is always a backwall...

This man is a mother fucker idiot, he don't know nothing about of UT Testing, the first leg is bad, the second leg is very bad whit relation of the thickness to his distance, the transducer whit his adapter in 90 degrees is not the best for the weld inspection type, the couplant is gel and not crap that this guy use, the dB is very, very very high. and the signal of possible defect in the weld, is on top, lack of reinforcement in the crown is the that this pig find.

Backwall??? Its fucking shearwave, there is no backwall.

3.4? amatuer 3.9 in UT also level II PCN IN mpi, dpen, eddy current. thanks. nearly forgot level 2 ropes.
-
wher is the back wall echo??
is that at ruanne and o'neils in the uk, i agree the old analogue sets give a better signal response for flaw characterization IMO
There are some confused people out there, no there is not a backwall from angle probe inspection, yes root or cap geo but BW is for 0 deg probes or TOFD
and 01mcm1976 are you on drugs? nothing you said made sense, 90 deg, what? his dB's are fine in relation to his DAC , Thats a Root scan not cap, grease is fine for couplant, I hope you still aren't in NDT

@scraypage damn how'd you guess...yes it was in RO in UK :)...
jeez whats with all the fuss...sorry if i did wrong i was in my first week of training and yes...i was doing the preliminary check on roots...afaik most training school i see is using in fact grease...couplants are expensive and needed to be premix before usage...
