You should only start accelerating through the golf swing once your arms are a tangent to the arc (basically, about the time you feel like your hands are at your pockets). This is an interesting video showing when you should start accelerating through your golf swing. If Tiger didn't do this, then there is no possible way that he could stop his swing.

  • Wow Gary, why don't you just ask Tiger if you can blow him?

  • Charles Barkley can stop up to three times on his down swing?

  • anyone watching this after seeing kevin na? lol

  • just keep pressing 2 slowly

  • @brainysnaeha not on the downswing like that... no but im sorry you can not do that

  • @rippendorber You're so full of yourself it's unbelieveable. Im done talking to you. And FYI...it takes more than a nice stroke to be a good putter

  • @Th3fr4nchi5e hey buddy- i was told today by a Division 1 NCAA coach while playing in the California State Fair, which is a national amatuer event, that i have the nicest putting stroke he has ever seen...........BOOM you dont know me kid... you dont know golf..... and yes im not stupid... i know that short game is the key to being on tour just look at luke donald u fucktard...im just amazed that you said it doesnt take skill to stop your swing on the downswing, your stupidity is amazing

  • @aikyp maybe u swing to hard. All u have to do is just jerk ur arms up really hard on the downswing. Just practice it.

  • I've stopped my downswing many a time - usually by taking out a crater behind my ball

  • @Hmatt007 Then you dont swing hard at all.

  • @tejanochris It only counts as a stroke if the player intended to make contact with the ball. If is the players responsibility to determine whether or not they did. You could technically take a fullswing and right before inpact just lift up over the ball. If it wasnt you're intention to make contact its not a whiff or a stroke. Its all integrity which the pros probably dont have to worrk about cuz I dont think anyone on tour will be whiffing too often. hahaha
