$320 Million Dollar HTV-2 Super Plane Missing?

The hypersonic, rocket-propelled glider that went missing over the Pacific Ocean while flying about 13,000 mph destroyed itself as soon as it lost contact with controllers.Since 2003, the government has spent $320 million on the program, including the cost of another failed glider launch in 2010.The HTV-2 was launched aboard a rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Once the glider separated from its launcher, it was to embark on a 30-minute glide over the Pacific to a ditching point north of Kwajalein Atoll.
But something went awry at the nine-minute mark, DARPA reported. That's when the glider likely blew up.

@abram730 My point exactly. Wealth and income are different. The constant drumbeat of taxing "millionaires and billionaires" is for the people who are stupid enough to believe it. And for the economic illiterates who think that raising taxes will result in an improving economy, the OECD has dozens of studies demonstrating that is not the case (the famous right wing organization started by Kennedy, and for whom Hillary Clinton gave the 50 year anniversary commencement address).

What a complete and total waste of money, time, resources and human achievement. Instead of spending money on stupid military hardware what about smelting every bomb and bullet and building space ships to colonize other worlds and explore the final frontier - SPACE!
