The Campbell's Soup tower has dominated the skyline south of King's Lynn for five decades but on Sunday, January 15, 2012, the famous landmark was blown up to make way for a new Tesco Extra store on Campbell's Meadow. Hundreds of people woke up early, wrapped up warm & braved the cold weather to watch the tower fall.

@Nazihunter1979 I think suggesting getting rid of the south gates and the red mount is a bit different from blowing up campbells soup factory! They've been here a hell of a lot longer, and are better looking buildings. It's not a case that I need to "let go of the past", I think maybe you should get some culture!

Wow, you for real? How can you say that about the Southgates and the Red Mount? They're true King's Lynn hertiage!
Campbells was a ugly concrete building, I grant you that. But the other two? No way!
