MHP3 Playthrough Elder Quest 47 - Rangurotora (落石注意!?)

The armor I'm using can be made from a special item that you can only get by sending your cats on quests via the Questing Cart in the farm. It has the skill Rapid Fire +1 (aka Bonus Shot) which adds another shot to your Rapid Fire volley. Since it's only a 3 piece armor set, I add the Royal Ludroth cap and waist with some gems to get Water Element +1. I'm using the Royal Ludroth Light Bowgun which is a highly useful weapon, especially for Uragaan, who is coming up later.
Anyway, fighting Rangu is pretty simple with a gun, just watch out for his paralysis spit. His tongue lash comes into play too when ranged, but it does seriously little damage. His dive bomb ball attack causes quake, which I mis-roll several times in the video. No big deal, since there is no follow up move, but getting hit by it hurts. He takes the most Water damage at the head, followed by the stomach and ass.
