Great song, great cover video, I was around when this video was popular with us young rebels and a lot of people just could not get the point of the song being an anti drug message. Thanx for bringing back memories.

@verbaud Recently saw the film 'Black Power Mixtape.' It consists of footage of various black power figures (Stokely Carmichael; Angela Davis, etc) shot by Swedish filmmakers during the 60s and 70s; it's a great film, see it if you can. Its last section depicts drugs flooding into black neighborhoods all over America in the 70s. The filmmakers make the case that this was done to counteract the black power movement and pacify the population. Same thing was done with crack in the 80s.
