@MiyakoHoshi The Japanese R is part L part D and part R. There's an area on the roof of your mouth that if you have to hit with your toungue, you produce that sound. In some cases the L or R sound may be more pronouced, but the depends on what is being said,

@okeijoful1 Its normal for japanese to call Len, Ren. L's do not exist in Japanese or rather they can't pronounce it. They call Dulalala, Durarara.

@NekoNaruChan If you are talking about the show Durarara. The official Japanese title is "デュラララ". The ラ character is pronounced as "La" in English, but in Japanese you would most likely pronounce it as "Ra". The show's name should be called Dulalala if it was translated to English directly. But as i said before, there is no L in japanese. It is natural that the show is translated in romanji as Durarara by the Japanese.
