This is my new baby whale. There were 3 at the store and I got the biggest one (almost 4 inches) hoping that he would be the least likely to get picked on by the white angel. When I first got him he would hide in the pipe all night and day, but eventually I lured him out one night with food and he has been fine since. During the day he only comes out for a minute at a time to look for food then he goes back in the pipe decoration. He now spends all night swimming around the tank. Ever since I added him to my tank the angel fish calmed down and stopped picking on the smaller fish and the whale is a lot calmer around the fish. So far he has been eating shrimp pellets and live brine shrimp. I may move him into his own 20 gallon tank soon though due to crowding in the 29 gallon and the fact that I don't want to be feeding my pig angel expensive live food everyday.

I filmed this with the camcorder's light on and he didn't seem to mind too much luckily.

  • El unico pez que no encaja en ese acuario es ese gobio dragon.

  • @potamotrigon El goby del dragón pronto fue movido a un tanque 4ftx1ftx1ft:)

  • Do they eat freeze-dried foods?

  • @Sursion7

I tried freeze-dried bloodworms, he may have gotten a few, but most ended up just getting old and moldy. They will eat a few, but not enough to sustain themselves as they are natural bottom feeders and will only come to the top for a quick time when feeding.

  • pssshh smart move on putting him in with angelfish, they are very agressive. whales have electric shock, so dont be suprised if you find one of em dead. move it into the 20 gallon, lucky the angels havent taken a shot at him already

  • @GirRoxSox2 Mormyrid fish such as the baby whale do not shock, they use very weak electrical signals to navigate through mucky waters. Only electric eels and electric catfish can generate enough electricity to cause a "shock". Angelfish can be aggressive, but almost never towards larger fish that hide during the day. And angels, normally only kill fish that they can eat. Unless you get the pair from hell, the angels will not kill anything larger than 2".
