Jay Dobyns, alias Jaybird, is an ATF undercover agent who infiltrated the Hells Angels motorcycle club from 2001 to 2003. He was offered membership into the gang after faking the murder of a rival Mongols Motorcycle Club member and providing evidence of the staged murder to Hells Angels leaders. Dobyns and his partners worked undercover for 21 months leading to Federal arrests and search warrants on July 8, 2003.

@truckduck13 - you are so right about lying and manipulating to others as his way of making a living. he also lied to everyone around him, his family, his friends, the atf, other business associates and eventually to himself. look around him and you see a trail of wreckage he caused, which dobyns is blind to. dobyns blames everyone else for his own failures, including the atf (hence his million dollar lawsuit against them). this mans lies will never end....

I'm not a big reader and get bored and overwhelmed very easily with lots of pages but this book was impossible to put down. Very interesting read and I have read it many times.

If u like this topic also read "Under and alone". Same concept just with Mongols MC instead.

Read the book. Not sure where I stand on this. As an UC you seem to have manipulated people to get what you want which was convictions. As a UC you lie for a living and take everything everyone else says as the truth and throw the book at them. Does not sit right with me at all.

Might be some controversy there. Before Queen's investigation the Mongols were alot more low key because they didn't want to gain the attention of the feds. Hell, Queen even confirmed this himself when he said in his book how he talked with Mongols during church to try and trade mark their logo. The Mongols rejected the idea because they didn't want to gain attention from the federal govt. Kinda ironic when you really think about it all.
