MUGEN Evolution's Global Moderator MelchiorMPhilips hates how most Fighter Factory tutorials don't mention how to convert your sprites from a sprite sheet to a .pcx. Therefore he explains how to prepare your sprites before following a MUGEN tutorial, using merely Paint and Fighter Factory. Also is explained how to make a .act file.
Tutorial is very in-depth with no cuts. viewer can see everything melchior does, making it a perfect tutorial for people who are entirely new to MUGEN.

  • MELCHIOR YOU IDIOT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! BACKWARDS SPRITES? NOT KNOWING HOW TO SELECT ALL THE COLOURS IN A PALETTE?! (HOLD SHIFT! NOT CTRL!) LEAVING THE BG COLOUR IN WITH THE NORMAL COLOURS THUS DUPLICATING IT?! AND EARLY ON ALL THAT SEIZURING WTF?!

I know you're trying to help out the channel, but saying there was no other way of selecting all colours in the palette was what pushed me over the edge. This reaked of fail. BC's original tutorials were not perfect, but they were better than this!

  • @TailsClock Thanks for not being afraid to blatantly point out my stupid annoying noob errors.

my honest apologies for being a noob.

  • wtf ctr alt controle dosent macke sence

  • Well, I got up to the last part, created all the necessary files, but I can't get the actual character onto the fighter factory sprite page...

Like, I can't see the character moving around, do I need more than 1 sprite at a time?

  • Does Fighter Factory make .gif from sprite sheets or does it make videos from sprite sheets??

  • I have some Gif images of a char how can i insert it on Fighter Factory by using a created char.

  • @melliemaster I fixed it =D I have no Idea what I did differently this time around, but I started over and made a new pallet and it works!

  • @Rush165 did you convert the .bmps to .pcx's as explained in this tutorial?

If all else fails, send your character to me, I'll have a look at it for you.

  • @melliemaster Nah I've tried that. It's not working.... I think I fucked up the pallet.

  • @Rush165 it's explained at 4:48.

Put the background colour meant to be transparent in the bottomright block, and ti will work.

  • How in the fuck do I make the background invisible. It seems no tutorial on earth has that fucking question answered. I'm getting really frustrated here....
