The world premiere of Third Symphony by Gustav Mahler by John Neumeier took place on June 14, 1975. The Fourth Movement, "Nacht" (Night), is dedicated to John Cranko and his company and was premiered in Stuttgart in July 1974, with Marcia Haydée, Richard Cragun and Egon Madsen. The ballet marks the beginning of John Neumeier's choreographic examination of the symphonic oeuvre of Gustav Mahler. John Neumeier dedicated this ballet to THE HAMBURG BALLET. This trailer was produced for the 2011 revival of John Neumeier's first evening-length symphonic ballet.
