Beijing Olympics 2008 -- An Opening Ceremony Reflection

I just wanted to reflect on the incredible spectacle known as the Olympic opening ceremony in Beijing, China 2008. :)

The Opening ceremony had many incredible spectacles such as fireworks, LCD stages, choreographed performances. Heck, the choreography was absolutely stunning, amazing, and quite frankly, inspiring.

After i saw that opening ceremony I had to make a video as a tribute to a once in a lifetime opportunity. As a chinese person, and as an american.

I used Powerpoint, Camtasia, and Adobe Premiere to make the video if you're curious ;) Hey, does this make me a youtuber now? :)

Camtasia is a screen recording progrm. I made a powerpoint last night and used Camtasia to record the effects. Afterwards, I just imported it into Adobe premiere and spliced it together with the music. :)

I'm proud to be an American too, and I have no Chinese ancestry, but the ceremony made me proud to be a human being. I guess it's what Up with People was going for--which ironically made me ashamed.:)

Well this video was made before the controversy came out about it hahahaha. Same thing with the dude getting stabbed, so this is forgivable.

I loved the serene tonality of the actual video though :) Lets see more Xepa!

Funny -- from the vantage point of August 13, the entire video seems deliciously sarcastic, given the fake singer, the pre-produced graphic fireworks for television, and the Chinese media blackout on covering these pathetic mis-steps by the Chinese government.
