By the way, all taxing is done below 10,000 feet, in case you were wondering. That goes for non-pilots who taxi aircraft as well. Pay attention to the task at hand. Begin non-germain conversations after the parking brake is set.
The silence rule below 10,000 feet stems from the Eastern Airlines L-1011 crash into the Everglades when all three pilots were trouble shooting a burned out lamp and flew into the ground. It was a classic case of "Controlled Flight Into Terrain." CFIT.
They shouldn't be doing conversation in real time that's not directly related to the approach. That should be done some other time...during cruise, or on the ground in the simulator or elsewhere. All that should be pre-briefed and then the person getting the demo can read from their notes during the approach....or de-brief the demo pilot once on the ground. Then there is always the video to review. Airline pilots are told no off topic conversations below 10,000 feet for safety.
Did IS&S use crayons to design there maps? I have about 15 hours right seat in a Eclipse 1.7 and it's a fine airplane. But there avionics map display software is lacking. I fly a Cessna 182 G1000 and it's display's blow the doors the IS&S display's.

Great FMS and Map functionality. Love the stow away keyboard.
