Just finished installing a friends brand new 2011 Altima 2.5S. All equipment is brand new and lastest models. The sub is the 3rd gen that can take 600 watts RMS and the amp just came out and its the MRX-M50. This amp is a beast for its size and if using the Line In input for hooking up to speakers, the amp automatically turns on without having a remote wire. Amp does 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms and 300 watts RMS at 1 or 4 ohms. Best part is that Alpine FINALLY included a Bass Knob!!

Equipment:
Alpine SWR-1243D Subwoofer
Alpine MRX-M50 Amplifier
Alpine RUX-KNOB
1.15 Cubic Foot Sealed Enclosure with 1lb Polyfill
4 Gauge Power and Ground Cables
Stock Head Unit

  • I got 2 12" of those type R's and am trying to get this amp for them the one I got now put out 150w rms can't imagine how it'll sound with that m50

  • @blinddiaj Yeah it will bang but try to invest in the M100...makes a big difference but I don't know what ohm rating subs you got. Two 4DVC's won't work but if you got two 2DVC it will work for sure!

  • Would it be possible to run it off a 15" (1500watt woofer)

  • @ByrneBeatsInc You can power a 18" sub...Any amp can push any sub but its all about if the amp is strong enough to power it. You always want to know the rms handling of your sub before getting your amp. If you have a sub that can handle 1000 watt rms, get a amp that can power 1000+ watt rms at that certain impedance. Its a matching game.

  • @MIT2004 Big fail? How do you figure? If a thief looked inside the car and saw a stock deck, why would they even try to break in? Your comment is a fail.

    Customer Reviews:

Got the amp last month along with one 12 Type R and a Rux Knob, and this thing bangs in my trailblazer... I never had a good sound system, my last setup kept cutting out. I had this playing some bass CD's last weekend at a car wash for about 45 mins at full volume, full gain on AMP and the freaking AMP ...

  • I got same amp and same sub but my box is a little bigger an ported

  • @23mnz23 What do you mean sound?

  • @MrBeatahalic This install is for a person that is not into blasting his shit, he just wanted to enhance his sound a little. Um duh stock decks clips a lot more then aftermarket but you don't get the fact that the owner of the car didn't want a thief to know he had a system so thats why deck is still stock. Again, owner of car doesn't blast his deck to the point it clips the amp and sub.

  • @danterakin no his comment isnt a fail stock decks can cause clipping wayy easier than an aftermarket deck and clipping can make that sub go up in smoke along with your amp
