This is a part of the old "redneck" Korea that is dying off. In no way is it condoned by the mainstream. In the cities of Bundang and Ilsan, as well as much of Gyeongi do there are NO dog meat restaurants. This is an aspect of the past, modern Koreans are ashamed if it, and it will die off. Having said that, unless one is a vegetarian, then one is imposing a moralistic hierarchy of what animals can be or not be food based on one's own culture. Not cool.

@iBundangbear Sure, but you know it's not about food, but the way they mistreat them. Those poor fellas in the video were badly abused and neglected. Animals are living creatures and should be treated as such before the slaughter. Too bad many treat them as meat before the slaughter. Hunting is far better and more humane, for the wild animals have a fair chance of getting away.
I am a vegetarian, more precisely pescetarian.
