Excerpt read by an actress taken from Wetlands by Charlotte Roche
Wetlands takes an unflinching, and very funny, look at one of the last remaining taboos of today. Courageous, radical and provocative, Charlotte Roches novel rebels against hygiene hysteria and the sterile aesthetics of womens magazines, against the standardized dealings with the female body and its sexuality, while at the same time telling the wonderfully wild story of a heroine both pleasure-seeking and vulnerable, who voices what others do not even dare think.
And the rest of the book? I found it to be a very funny book and sad at some points. Don't know how people can get 'horny' by reading this book.

It's very interesting to hear the text in English when you've read the German version. The actress is good, but completely lacks Charlotte's innocent, almost child-like nastiness...
