My grandfather had an old single blade razor in which razor blade would be slightly bent so you could get the same gillette slide effect but using straight motion rather than this diagonal motion.

@sinbadaz that's called a "slant" razor and you can still get them.

@alboTBA use a razor with as few blades as possible (like a 2 blade Sensor or a 3 blade Mach3 at the most), use a really good shave cream, just a single pass, no fancy bladework.

I got bored one night so I thought, What the hell, I'll shave my ass. And so I did. I found out that life is different when you have a smooth pair of butt-cheeks bouncing around in your boxer shorts. @VideoLogDotCom See, thats a little different than what mantic normally uses. With a double edge or straight putting and pressure more than necessary will slice you to pieces.

I use a Bic Triple blade

I just turn my razor to a 75 degree angle and go down then keep up the process so i don't cut myself

I turned 18 a month ago and decided to enter "manhood" by learning to straight-shave. 2 shaves in and I can't imagine going back to my cartridge.

His mistake is to use old fashioned foam - it dries out the skin and doesn't let you see where you are shaving. I got a small botle called Somersets in Austria - it's like no razor burn and amazing skin feel. has anybody out there tried this - solved all my shaving problems.
