Well, I got a new video camera the other day and took some footage with Chris. The Camera records all the footage into h.264 format, which much to my dismay isn't supported by Premiere. So, I now need to re-encode all the footage I took and see the outcomes look in the finished product.
This basically means more test videos... yay!

At least I went to the trouble of making it look nice for y'all.

  • Just add "video from the future" as a title to your video and you'll get a great lot of views, i promise.

  • lol, I'll have to consider that for my next video.

  • 2013???

I thought the world ends in 2012.

You're not gonna make it mate...

  • Yeah, Chris and I will be sure to return to our home planet/dimension before then, so I'll still be able to release the video, but there might not be many views on youtube.

  • h.264 is a bit of a trial. My newfangled quadcore pc can't even play them at full speed. AVS video converter makes them nice and neat for youtube and can even process them for bluray or dvd. The codec is still not a confirmed standard even tho most every hi def video camera out there uses it. Still out there spinning and recording, in the process of rewatching all your tutorial vids to get back to the basics and trying to improve. May put up a few tutorials of my own eventually.

  • Yeah, no kidding. AVS is the program I use too, but finding the right combination of conversion from H.264 for use in Premiere, then the best form of compression settings for youtube is a bit of a trail-and-error affair sometimes.
