This is a Pioneer PL-112D vintage turntable. It has a new belt and an Ortofon cartridge but it needs a new needle. It is using a temporary donor needle from my other record player.

  • Do those types of cartridges have adjustments for overhang? I think the older Pioneer tables like this used 49mm, where Technics tables used 52mm. I wouldn't mind trying one of these cartridges on my Technics when I'm testing used records.

  • @Maxxarcade The Stanton Trackmaster cartridge has no adjustments of any sort so if overhang is a concern it's not the right need for the job.

  • I have this Turntable. What is the best tone Arm weight? I have it set to 3 is that correct?
