Anti-Flag piano cover - Wake Up!

I've experienced many an influential event in my life. I have been fortunate beyond belief in my upbringing with a healthy happy family and opportunities to live all over the world. I've set up camp, so to speak, in countries including Bermuda, China, Italy, Mexico, and Germany; however, in my short 18 years, I have yet to encounter anything that means more to me than music does. Anti-Flag in particular. I love them a ridiculous, unhealthy amount. There is always so much to say about the boys in this punk rock band, so I'm going to try and keep it short. This band dedicates their entire existence to making the world a better place to the best of their ability. They care so much about the world, about their fans, about people. Every song is fighting for the good of the weak and defenseless, and instead of settling with vague, blunt rips on 'the man' exploiting 'the system', they break it down to the specifics and say 'this is what's wrong, and this is what needs to change'. They create their music to proactively spread this message of peace and free thought, and all of it, everything, stems from their desire to see good in the world. That's inspiring to me. They have been an entirely, 100% positive influence in my life in multiple ways, and I don't know if I would even care about things had their music not encouraged me to. I recently was blessed [hah, irony?] with the chance to see them for the second time at Warped Tour, had an amazing chat with all of them at their merch stand, took some amazing pictures, and then lost my camera... but that aside, they are all stand-up guys with hearts of gold and the power to provoke change in people.

Wake Up! is one of my favorite Anti-Flag songs, from The Terror State released in 2003, and although the concept of the album isn't quite relevant anymore given that GWB is no longer in office, the impact of the song lives on. They are urging us to pay attention, to 'wake up to the world around you'. Keep up the rebellious spirit, and educate yourself. It's a concept that is very easy to miss by simply falling out of touch with current events, and these guys make it so obvious what we can do as listeners. The power in numbers is being lost in apathy. So Wake Up!

really, nice job. you won't believe it (ha ha) but it's the only piano cover of anti-flag on youtube yet, which is sad. probably no one thought about bringing punk rock to a piano, though there are some songs i tried out myself that don't sound bad at all. sadly my piano skills are below zero *sigh* so yours will remain their only piano cover for an awful lot of time...
